As successful as cognitive therapy can be, it is not an option for all insomniacs. Some people benefit from the accountability that comes from in-person therapy.

Online CBT-I programs also cannot help patients who have an underlying condition or sleep disorder. For example sleep apnea, clinical anxiety or depression. It is encouraged you talk to your GP and mental health care provider.

For everyone else, multiple studies have suggested the effectiveness of online CBT for treating insomnia, leading the American Academy of Sleep Medicine to endorse it as a treatment for insomnia.

Meet Chelsea

Chelsea is an international speaker, a proud ambassador for mental health charities including R u Ok? and The Gidget Foundation and an authority on Mindfulness and productivity for the corporate world.

For 12 years Chelsea worked in the corporate world.

Then a life adversity happened.

After her life reboot, Chelsea embarked on a PHD in psychology and neuroscience and became the poster person for mental health and mindfulness in Australia.

When I suffered Post Natal Depression and Anxiety I suffered severe anxiety insomnia. I was sleeping approximately 1-2 hours per night and formed a dependency on sleeping pills before I ended up in hospital 3 months later with severe insomnia and suicidal ideation.

FAQ’s

+ How long does the course take?

The chasing calm program is 21 days to assist in forming new habits. Everyday includes bite size reading, either a short video, recommended TED talk, guided meditation and reflection time. The minimum time commitment you can plan for is 10 minutes per day. It is entirely aimed at being self-paced and you will get a lot of support in our Private Community Group.

+ What is included in the Chasing Calm Private Community?

The Chasing Calm private community is a closed Facebook group managed by Chelsea and EQ’s amazing team. You can share your dreams and goals with us here, find support from like-minded people and no question goes unanswered.
